Treasure Island vs Mirage

We are going to Vegas the last week in September. Have found airfare and hotel for 4 nights. Treasure Island is 1162 and Mirage for 1258. We are in our early 30%26#39;s. Which hotel would be best for us? Looking for a nice pool and good casual restaurants. Thanks.

Treasure Island vs Mirage

Sunshine,

I have stayed at both hotels, and actually prefer Treasure Island. It seems to be geared towards a younger crowd, if that matters to you at all. They%26#39;ve got several casual places to eat - Kahunaville (excellent), Canter%26#39;s Deli, the Coffee Shop, etc. The pool is a little plain and can%26#39;t compete with the Mirage%26#39;s, but it%26#39;s more than fine to relax at. Overall, I like the feeling, layout, and room decor/spaciousness (bathrooms at TI are bigger than the ones at the Mirage) of Treasure Island. I hope that helps! : )

Treasure Island vs Mirage

If pool is VERY important, go with Mirage.

TI was opened by Mirage to cater to a younger, hipper, and more budget-conscious crowd.

I don%26#39;t know how much airfare is from Michigan exactly, but those rates seem high to me for both places - is there a big convention int own on those dates? I can%26#39;t help but think you could get a better deal somewhere else such as Luxor.

Having said that, if the choice is between those two, I would pay the extra $25/night and stay at Mirage, just for the pool alone.

Rooms are very similar....Mirage has much better pool and restaurants....Kokomo%26#39;s at Mirage is an all time favorite....try the Sea Bass, mmmmm....

The Mirage has an overall nicer property and an awesome pool, but TI has the nicer rooms. So, it just depends on what you%26#39;re looking for.

I agree that both seem a bit high. Are you looking at an air/hotel package? Try pricing them separately. To get the hotel rates, visit the properties Web sites. I generally do better that way.

We, too, have stayed at both and preferred the Mirage. It%26#39;s just, plain a nicer property. Pool is much better. Dining options are better. And I like the location (even though right ';next door';) better. Didn%26#39;t hate TI . . . just preferred Mirage.

I am with the crowd of that is way to much for room and airfare. I Always fly out of Detroit and have never paid over $226 tax included per person and rarely over $200. So with that even if a Friday and Saturday are included those prices are way to high.

Back to your question. I love TI but if pool is super important go to the Mirage.

I agree with the crowd. If pool is important this is a no-brainer. Go with Mirage. If on-site nightlife for a young crowd is important, go with TI.

Say hi to A2 for me...GO BLUE (I%26#39;m an alum)!!! Ahhh, I miss Zingerman%26#39;s.

They are both good hotels and both centrally located on the strip,Mirage has a nice pool.Treasure Island is nice to for the younger crowd.

I assume those prices are for two persons, one room.

try booking air separate then the hotel directly. When you buy a package, they tend to charge both air fares but double for the room.

then its whether you are staying a weekend.

Mirage Pool is better, the hotel is much larger overall but I like the TI rooms.
