Can this be done as a day trip? Are they close to one another?

What is this? Just curious. Thank You.

Two national parks in Utah.

thank you. i thought this was mainly a las vegas forum but again thanks for educating me.

My answer would be , Why would you want to, they are breathtaking national parks, also remember there is entrence fee%26#39;s , Zion is approx 3 hours from Vegas %26amp; Bryces is another 75 miles, some really tight turns etc if you go thru Zion to get to Bryces, I spent 3 days in Zion %26amp; another 3 at Bryces %26amp; I still needed more time, way too much to see and do for a day trip IMHO !!!

You could do Zion as a day trip, but not include Bryce. Zion is about 3 hours +. Zion has 2 sections...Zion Canyon, where you look up the towering cliffs, and East Zion, which is very different. You would want to experience both. Yes, it could be done in a day trip, but keep in mind that you will be driving 6 hours or more just to get to and from the park.

The drive from Zion on to Bryce is very beautiful too, but to try to do both in just one day would basically leave you in the vehicle the whole time, just looking and never stopping to enjoy.

Last two posts are right on track. Do an overnight and you will have plenty of time for both. And it is well worth the effort.

It is always best if you can get a room at one of the lodges in the park. Both Zion and Bryce offer lodging. If you cannot get a room at Zion Lodge, the Majestic View is a great property just outside the entrance in Springdale. Or Ruby%26#39;s Inn is a good choice if you can%26#39;t get into Bryce Lodge.
