Hey All. Am a 25 year old Aussie guy in La.
Heading to Vegas early April need adivse on a place to stay.
Have searched the forums and am in a pickle
At this stage I can only afford to stay at Binions or LasVegasClub, based on prices I can find online.
Reviews say that LVC should be arlight (much better then Binions)
Does anyone know the best and cheepest websites to book through? At the moment booking direct or i4Vegas are the cheepest.
Wish i could stretch the budget for GoldenNugget, but alas I cant. Both places are $55 us per night while Im there inc taxes, is this at all reasonable? Can I do better?
Want to book asap. THanks in advance for your help.
Vegas - DownTown
What%26#39;s an Aussie guy doing in Louisiana?
Anyway, both Vegas Club and Binions are fine - nothing fancy, just a basic room. The rooms at Binons are smaller (especially in the original tower - if you stay, be sure to request something in the old Mint tower) but otherwise comparable. Binions has a pool, though I%26#39;m not sure if it will be open. It%26#39;s tiny, but kinda cool in that it%26#39;s on top of the towers with great views.
Booking direct is often the cheapest way to go, and has the best cancellation policies. $55/night including taxes is good - great if that%26#39;s a weekend rate.
Vegas - DownTown
for under $50, the only hotels you will find is in down town, but if you want to stay closer to the strip, try Gold Coast
Booking with agencies like i4vegas might save you few dollare, but you can not cancel it later on. Booking direct, leaves your options open, if you find a better deal later on
Thanks already guys.
Im looking at LVC mainly due to recent reviews on hotels pages.
Is $77us a better value price for GoldenNugget? dont know if i can get the extra 20us a night, but we%26#39;ll see what i can wrangle. Is it worth stepping up? Im not worried about the casino at all (not a gambler) more atmosphere (im single if that makes a difference as well), safeness, nightlife in bars, clubs, etc.
THanks again.

Remeber that all a hotel gets you is a room and pool. All the other stuff - bars, atmosphere, restaurants, can be visited by anybody. You can sleep at the LVC and hang out at GN.
But if you are looking for a young, fun crowd, you probably aren%26#39;t going to find much anywhere downtown. Head to the strip, even if you aren%26#39;t staying there.
$55 is pretty good, especially if it%26#39;s a weekend. But if it%26#39;s during the week, you should be able to find something cheaper in Downtown. We always stay at the California or the Main St. Great places to stay!! The only thing is they%26#39;re not right on Fremont St., but a block away.
vegas club has rubber sheets under the sheets.
If you%26#39;re on a budget you were right to look at downtown - but if you are not a gambler, you will get bored with downtown pretty quickly. I would see if you can get a decent rate at Imperial Palace, which is right in the middle of the Strip. Another option would be Hooters, not ideally located but you can get rooms for as low as $40/night on a weeknight.
