Just thought I would share that I just booked with Bills for April 24-May 1st (really good rates for those dates, everywhere else is pretty costly I found) and the gentleman I spoke with at the hotel was very nice and said they will do all they can to accomodate our requests (King, nice view etc.) We are not huge on having a pool but I did ask him out of curiosity if there was any pools in the area we would be allowed to use if we wished (as the weather might be pretty toasty that week) and he said that the Flamingo pool is available to guests that stay with them.
SO it all sounds great so far but I will check it all out when I am there and report back.
More on Bills...hmmm...well that%26#39;s definately a bonus to be able to use the Flamingo pool!
i look forward to your TR! :)
More on Bills...You will have to let us know if it turns out to be true that Bill%26#39;s guests can use the Flamingo pool. Since Flamingo%26#39;s pool is widely considered among the best in Vegas, if true this removes one of the few drawbacks to staying at Bill%26#39;s.
Thank you for getting us this good info!
If it does turn out to be true I will only share with all you dedicated TA%26#39;ers, we wouldn%26#39;t want to divulge one of the best little hidden secrets to just anyone, then before you know it the rates would go up and the place would always be booked full :)
Very interesting, TKIRK . . . thanks for posting.
Forgive my ignorance, but what is Bill%26#39;s? Are you staying at a house owned by somebody named ';Bill'; (and maybe he has a fake Flamingo room key that will get you into the pool area)?
Eric, Bill%26#39;s is the new name for the Barbary Coast,

AHA-- Thanks for clearing that up for me. Now it makes sense, since I was always under the impression that Barbary Coast did not have a pool. Thanks Lowrance.
Eric - loved what you came up with trying to figure it out :)
Apparently since they%26#39;re all Harrah%26#39;s now anyway they are going to allow sharing of the Flamingo pool. Which will be great for people at Bill%26#39;s but will take some people out of the Flamingo, so they%26#39;re really just playing a ';shell game'; with themselves. Of course, it%26#39;s good because it benefits us as the guests, since we can choose the lower rate and have essentially the same quality stay, just with two different ';themes';.
I hate that Harrah%26#39;s butchered the Flamingo%26#39;s garden area, and it appears now they%26#39;re planning to pimp out the pool to other Harrah%26#39;s properties%26#39; guests. I think I%26#39;ll ask next time if I can stay at Bill%26#39;s and use the Caesar%26#39;s pools as well as the Flamingo%26#39;s.
