Yeah, I know this is not LV specific, but as I am going there next week and maybe going to see a few movies, I was wondering the prices of tickets, beverages and popcorn in cinemas (in the US).
In Madrid its like 6 euro the entrance, and the combo of coke plus popcorn maybe another 5-6 euro, which would be like 8 bucks each. I know that the ticket can be up to 10 dollars... but the rest of it... ??
Thanks in advance! :D

You%26#39;re traveling to Vegas from Europe and you%26#39;re going to waste time watching not one but ';a few movies';?! Surely there%26#39;s better stuff you can do with your time.
Who am I to say? Admission is $9-10 or so. No idea about the sodas or beverages - I won%26#39;t be conned into buying that overpriced stuff.

well, this is my third time to Vegas, and will be there 10 days...
and.... in spain all the movies are dubbed, quite horribly... so... ;)
i was just basically wondering if it would be worth it or not ^_^
nek0, I understand the need for a movie while in Vegas. I spent 7 consecutive days around South Point last year and took in 2 movies.
It was a nice break from gambling, and I was able to see it with relatives, which I rarely do at home.
Refreshments are very pricey. I can%26#39;t remember the exact prices, but expect to pay like $3-$6 or so for a coke, and maybe the same for popcorn.
What I did was carry some water into the theatre, and the coupon book I received from the Club Coast had a free coupon for popcorn.
It cost me FAR less to watch an entertaining movie, than sit at a slot machine for 2 hours!
Enjoy Vegas !
thanx lowrance! :D
It all depends what theatre you go to. Matinees tend to range from $6.50-$8, anything after 6 p.m. usually ranges from $9.50-$12. Concession prices are ridiculous, about $3 for a tiny cup of soda. If you really plan to see a lot of movies, you might want to go to a Regal theatre and get their card. You get points for every dollar you spend so may end up with enough to get something free, and if not, certain days of the week (usually Tuesday or Thursday), you get free popcorn if you%26#39;re a member.
I totally understand going to the movies on vacation, especially in another country. I always do it in Europe, and Europeans I meet there much prefer to see movies in their original language than with the dubbing where things are lost in translation!
