The rate here in the UK is approx 1.85 dollars to a pound. Are we best to buy here or wait till we get to LV - thanks

Unless you%26#39;re going to make the effort and find a bank off-Strip the only convenient locations to change currency in Vegas are at the casino cashiers and their rates aren%26#39;t too great so buy your $$$s in the UK. There is an American Express place in Fashion Show Mall that does foreign exchange but it always looks really busy when I%26#39;ve been by there.

I deal with foreign exchange rates every day for my job. In the last 24 hours the $ has started to dip considerably so I%26#39;d hold back from buying until as late as possible. Keep an eye on the rates though, things can change quickly.

Tottie,as you probably know ,M%26amp;S take some beating anywhere on the excahange rates .Today for example you get $1.876 and comission free.

Check the rate at the airport vendor where you come through customs for the US. They usually have a very good rate, and guaranteed buy back at the same rate upon your return.

Ive recently found the rates in the casino to be virtually on par to what you get here in the UK (around the 1.85 mark last few months)

However I did see a place near the Wynn (opposite side of the road, forgot the name of that shopping mall) where they were actually offering $2

At the MGM I was getting 1.86, but Ceasers were offering 1.90. So overall I would say take exchange it in Vegas, but unless your exchanging several thousand it wont make a great deal of difference tbh.

I ordered mine from www.crowncurrencyexchange.co.uk in November for delivery in February and got $1.96 commission and delivery free.

Monitoring rates and will be ordering again for my November trip.

We use www.no1currency.com. Details of their locations can be found on the site. Current rate is 1.89 (commission free) and since the dollar weakened against the pound today it could be nearer 1.90 tomorrow. They%26#39;ve usually got slightly better rates than M%26amp;S too!

We are from the Uk and tend to use www.travelex.com to order currency. Have used this each time we travel and find it a very good rate. YOu can just buy it over the count at the travelex in the airport but you dont get as good a rate as you do online.

Your order and pay online and collect it when you go to the airport, the exchange rate i got today was $1.88, plus no commission charges. The latest you can order it is 24 hours before collection

You can check the rate daily, travelex usually update their rate around 2pm uk time.
