Traveler's checks???

I know I have to bring plenty of cash with me to Vegas (along with a credit card or 5). Any way, should I bring traveler%26#39;s checks as well? Do many places accept travelers checks in Vegas?

every hotel will cash a traveler%26#39;s cheque for you.

we used them when we were there with no problems... restaurants and most stores on the strip took them. just ask before you pay, and if you%26#39;re really concerned cash them at the hotel before you go out.

I usually bring my gambling money in travellers checks. Any casino cashier will cash them as long as you have id. It helps me stay on budget, plus the theft protection.

Using traveler%26#39;s checks is my favorite way to budget my money in LV. That way I only cash out the daily allotment and leave the rest in the hotel safe for the next day. And if I don%26#39;t spend it all or get some nice wins that day, I can always take the remaining traveler%26#39;s checks home and put them back in the bank. The only cash I bring with me on the plane is a small amount for airport purchases, cabs and tips.

Any big casino will change you your traveler%26#39;s checks with a photo id, your finger print and that%26#39;s all!!

Remember, their business is take your money so they make easy for anybody.

Check with your bank. Here, I can no longer get them. I was shocked. My bank is hooked up with VISA for trav. checks. They decided they were too expensive to handle any more. Keep in mind this is rural Iowa, small town bank. Other banks use Am. Express %26amp; Master Card, I was told.
