How do you get a host?

I am going to Vegas for the first time in April. How do you hook up with a host at your hotel.

We are staying at the Imperial Palace because of the rate and the location on the strip. We do not plan to spend too much time in the room.

Thanks for the help

How do you get a host?

If you gamble enough, they will come and find you. You don%26#39;t necessarily need a host to get comps. The players club desk can arrange them. If you think you should have a host, ask at the players club to meet one.

How do you get a host?

Leo is right, ';just ask';!! I did that, and ended up being comped for two of my three nights, plus two meals. The Palyers Club employees usually don%26#39;t have the authority to comp much of anything, so the Host is your best bet..

Thanks for the help.

We are hoping to get at least 1 night comped but a couple nights would be great.

I will check it out when we arrive

how much do you have to spend to use the host?

Vegashomeboy that%26#39;s not an answer. There is no reason for sarcasm here.

You are wrong. VHB gave the real answer. People just don%26#39;t want to hear it. Hosts are generally for high end table players and/or maybe high limit slot players. They only give you what you earn nowadays anyway.

I totally disagree with VHB. I have stayed at IP and was approached by a host there. I still have her card. And, I was not playing high dollar slots. When you arrive go to the Players Desk to get your player cards and ask to speak to a host. I have never been turned down with this request. Your comps will be based on your play as we all know, but it is my experience that is best to have a name and a face to deal with when you leave the hotel. They can only do what they can do, but nothing to loose and lots to gain if you get lucky.

i knew nothing of hosts on my first trip to vegas and nothing about these forums.

one night i was extremly drunk about 4amish and decided to play BJ - i played til about 9 am

few weeks later a host mailed me her business card and would take care of anything i needed for future trips

this was @ luxor

i was betting around 50-100 a hand..occasionally more

i had a really good streak

getting a host and using a host are 2 different things.

anyone can ask to speak to a host, get card (they will all be polite and gracious and glad to meet you) and contact the host before you check out or when you want some type of comp.

IF you gamble enough to earn comps the host will help you. If you do not earn any comps the host will tell you. always ask what you were rated playing and what the casino requires for comps. Do NOT play for comps.

it is basic, simple, nothing special to do.
