Hotel charges / taxes

Quick quesition, after reading other posts refereing to daily hotel charges.

So I expect to pay for the room at a rate, then about 9% hotel tax on top of that and then I was wondering, do all hotels then charge a daily %26#39;hotel%26#39; rate, that%26#39;s something like $15??

The only hotel on the strip that I know to charge an extra ';resort'; fee is Signature at MGM, $15. There are a few off strip resorts that have extra fees, I think the Orleans might have a $5 fee and places like Red Rock and JW Marriott have a resort fee but the majority of strip properties do not. When making a reservation on the ne the resort fee is clearly spelled out on the reservation page and shouldn%26#39;t be a surprise.

All the Station Casinos charge this ';resort fee'; - varies depending on how expensive the hotel is. We%26#39;ll be paying I think $5/night at Sunset Station. That%26#39;s not bad, I%26#39;d complain if it were more since we aren%26#39;t going to use any of the things this supposedly covers.
