Convenience store\gas station near The Palms?

Is there anything at all near The Palms? We are getting a shuttle from the airport to the hotel for the first 2 nights of our stay in Vegas, and I%26#39;m wondering if there%26#39;s any place at all that we could walk to (Drug store, gas station, etc.) where we could buy some water and sodas...

(don%26#39;t laugh- I%26#39;m from Philly, and it would the better part of a day to explain our liquor laws)

beer is sold in every gas station i can think of i am not sure about wine though sorry
