Hi:
I am having a conference early May at Bally for 3 days and Bally is the official hotel they recommend; however, the reviews don%26#39;t look too good and I%26#39;m thinking of the hotel next door, Paris.
Is Paris better than Bally?
How long of a walk it is from Paris to Bally? It is worth staying at Paris if I have to go to the conference at Bally everyday?
Heard that Bally is haunted too....... anyone heard anything like that?
Thanks.
Bally vs Paris
Have stayed at both. Paris is very nice. Bally%26#39;s is middle of the road...nothing special. They are connected so you don%26#39;t have to go outside to get between the two. If you%26#39;re on business and the company is paying the tab and you are not on too tight of a budget, I%26#39;d say definitely Paris.

Bally vs Paris
Paris is newer and a very nice hotel. I haven%26#39;t stayed at Bally%26#39;s, but haven%26#39;t seen much negative on it.
The very good news it%26#39;s it%26#39;s joined together by a hallway so you never have to travel outside. Paris has several good dining choices. The buffet always gets high marks. Mon Ami Gabi is very well rated. And I personally love the little St Louis Cafe.
The Paris has great ventillation, so the smoke was not an issue for me.
The hauntings are from the fire, as this was the sight of the old MGM fire. Drink enough and the hauntings are less scarey. (Don%26#39;t belive the one about the lady at night who cuts off your toes)
I%26#39;ve stayed at Bally%26#39;s and was suprised at how nice it was. I really wasn%26#39;t sure what to expect after reading mixed reivews. I%26#39;ve also previously stayed at the MGM (west wing) and at the Mirage. I would stay at Bally%26#39;s again though, great value, clean, and fantasic location. I did however use the Paris pool insted and ate at the Paris Buffet, which is very good.
Bally%26#39;s does not compare to Paris. Paris is much nicer IMO.
I agree Ballys is nice but the Paris is better.
I%26#39;ve stayed at Bally%26#39;s several times. It%26#39;s fine. Rooms are BIG. I%26#39;ve never stayed at Paris but I%26#39;ve heard the rooms are much prettier but smaller.
Are you paying or is your company?
It would be NO problem to go between the two. They are literally connected, and not by a skyway or anything...you can literally have one foot in Ballys%26#39; and one foot in Paris.
especially coming from the elevators it is a VERY short walk from paris to bally%26#39;s(less than 3 minutes). Paris has much nicer rooms and a much nicer casino ambience imho.
We will be staying at Ballys from 3/23-28. We stayed at Ballys last year as well but beware, and I cannot remember which tower but it is the one closest to Paris (South Tower?)
That side has not been renovated and it was unacceptable. I%26#39;m not a snob and it takes a heck of a lot for me to complain but the linens, carpet, bathroom were really filthy so the next day we called and they moved us to the new side which was a dream. Maybe someone can answer for me as to which side is the ';icky'; one. Other than that, we really enjoyed staying at Ballys. The middle of the strip location is great.
Paris is the better hotel when comparing the two- You can walk between the two hotels without leaving, and you don%26#39;t have to take a cab (See the Rookie Mistake Post floating around)
lol Clemson, I was just about to post Stratton%26#39;s mistake!
