Why is the IP (imperial Palace) so cheap at the moment?

Been searching the Web sites you know as you do and I notice that the IP seems to be much cheaper than even some of the less disirable but cheap hotels in Vegas was just wondering why? As I thought it would be more expensive when you consider its location and the fact that many of the rooms have been recently refited.

Have I missed something?

Its old and really not that nice of a place to stay. Its fine for the price but dont expect to have great service there.Awsome loc thou

Circus Circus and the stratosphere as well as many off strip hotels of course.

I noticed that too! In MAy rooms for 47.00 a night! WOW It%26#39;s cheaper than the Trop (which I consider less desirable).

The general consensus is that hotels that British people are happy enough to stay in and rate highly,would be considered very basic and unacceptable to most Americans

Agree 100% Firsttimer! I would stay at the IP though, for that money LOL

Without wading through all the respective rates, I very much doubt that IP%26#39;s rates are lower than Circus Circus for 90% of nights. To call off-Strip hotels %26#39;undesirable%26#39; is just plain wrong. Many visitors to Vegas only consider staying off-Strip.

What dates are you looking for? Based on some of the offers I%26#39;ve been seeing, it looks like there is an unexpected slow patch coming up.

IP regularly competes with CC and the Trop for low end business. They also compete a bit with Harrahs, Flamingo and Bill%26#39;s for people who are who are concerned with a good rate on a center strip location and in this catagory, they would be the last choice.

There are a lot of people who feel IP is worn down even after the remodel so it is not getting them any new business. The rumors about it closing is not helping either.

it is a money maker it wont be closing anytime soon this comes from a employee fairly high up on the food chain
