This may be too broad of a question; however, we%26#39;d love to make our first trip to Vegas but feel overwhelmed about how to decide where to stay. We%26#39;re not into gambling but love shows, shopping, and good food. Any advice on where to begin or where to stay?
planning 1st trip to VegasWhat is your price range per night for a room? What kind of hotels do you normally stay in when you go on vacation? It will be easier to answer your questions if we know a little about what you want to spend.
planning 1st trip to VegasMaryCecelia,
Price range has a lot to do with the types of responses you will get. So, if you can provide that, it will help narrow down the types of properties that may be recommended. My recommendations are: For 4 or 5 star, I recommend the Bellagio or Wynn; For 3 or 4 star, I recommend the Paris, New York New York, or Monte Carlo, and finally for 3 star, I recommend the Flamingo or Aladdin (Planet Hollywood). Plenty to do, see, and eat in any of those places!! Have fun, and good luck.
I would like to know your age and what time of year you would be traveling, in order to advise you.
Luxury hotels..........Wynn, Bellagio Four Seasons, Signature
Next rung on the luxury ladder would be Venetian and perhaps THEHotel at Mandalay Bay
The previous poster that listed hotels forgot to put Mirage and TI in the 4 star list, both should definitely be in that category.
One rung down from those would be MC and NYNY/Luxor. Those are nice hotels but not as nice as the 4 star ones.
First trip you need a good location on teh strip. You can find high to mid range hotels/casionos there.
I would bypass Mandalay bay just because its location.
For high end - Bellagio, Cesears, Paris, Wynn
Mid - Mirage, Aladdan, Monte Carlo, MGM
All of these have good to great pools, good gaming, shops, restaurants, and you can walk or cab as they are centrally located.
If you can provide what you would like to do taht helps provide recommendations: I.E gambling, pool, eating, shows, shopping, a little of all.
