Good Moderate priced Steakhouse

I%26#39;ll be in Vegas for a quick weekend extension off my company trip to Tuscon. Will be staying Sat-Sun nite 3/31-4/1. I would appreciate any recommendations on a good moderately priced steak house that has a nice bar area where I could be comfortable eating alone at the bar-SWF. I much prefer eating at a bar than sitting at a table by myself. Thank you all for your input/ideas! Have not been to Vegas since March 05 so am looking foward to my visit!! My fave is Steak Au Poivre or a petit prime rib if that helps. I%26#39;m a purist-not a lot of fancy sauces or embellishments on my steak. They%26#39;re for seafood!

check it out - a bit pricey but man was it good

what is moderate to you - prices much better - everyone%26#39;s moderate is different.

Yes, that%26#39;s correct. I%26#39;m used to eating at Old Homestead in AC

wine $7-$14 glass

salad $8-$12

entree $38-$70

sides $6-$15

If the food is good price really isn%26#39;t an issue for me. I just like what I like. Love good cabs/blends like estancia meritage or ferrari-carrano cab %26amp; a good steak with a place where I can eat at a bar and not feel out of place or gawked at.

I usually have a grand time in AC at the bar at the steakhouse-last time I was there unbeknownst to me I ended up being seated smack in the middle of Paul Simons band-he had to cancel the concert because he was so sick %26amp; his band went down to eat I had a ball talking to them - 5 seats at the bar I was the woman in the middle. I was seated first %26amp; they ended up being seated all around me. Had a fabulous time. If I could have been there the next nite they were going to give me backstage passes.

You can eat at the bar in Gallagers in NYNY if you want..

Our dinner was around $175.00 with tip for the both of us. Two good wines, ala carte salads, two filet%26#39;s and one veggie

i also spoke to a bucnh of people who work there - famous people, baseball players are in there all the time...

theres also two sides to the bar if i remeber correctly...theres 1 in the actual gallagers and then theres one more into the casino....

i was staying @ luxor and actually went there a few nights jsut for drinks ebcause staff was great and i saw lots of people ordering at the bar

But even Steve would defer to VHB on this one. Really.

It%26#39;s not a steak house, but Margaritaville has a couple of steaks on their menu and you can eat at the bar. You might get lucky with the weather and be able to eat outside at the bar on the upper patio that overlooks The Strip. Fun place to hang out at.
