Thanks

Picaso restaurant at Bellagio???
Don%26#39;t know, but I%26#39;ll be able to tell you in a month and a half. I%26#39;m dining there in late April. Can%26#39;t wait!
Picaso restaurant at Bellagio???
Food is good, not the best, just the most expensive.
Read MGMarch%26#39;s Trip Report - Chapter 3. He gave it a good review. Sounds expensive.
In the reviews here on TA someone mentions paying $105 for a lobster at Picasso%26#39;s and that it was ';so so.'; The lobster at Nero%26#39;s at Caesars Palace is $70 ( 2 lb) and I would suspect is much better.
I won%26#39;t pretend to have had either. If I wanted a memorable lobster, I%26#39;d go to Boston, Maine or New York. I%26#39;m positive I wouldn%26#39;t take a chance on a $100 plus one if there was any chance it would be ';so so.';
Lulu:
If someone ordered ';a lobster'; at Picasso, they didn%26#39;t order it from the menu because there are only two choices: three-course prix fixe and five-course degustation. They may have been referring to the lobster salad, which is teh first course on the degustation, and excellent I might add.
I ate there last Friday night and had an outstanding meal. If any meal is worth $430, then this is it. Every dish was exquisite. Was it 4 times better than my lunch at Rosemary%26#39;s. It probably was, and I enjoyed Rosemary%26#39;s immensely. Just a completely different category of cuisine, in my opinion.
Would I do it every visit? Not unless I hit it big at the craps table.
If you are into highend food with wine pairings then this is the place to go, the wine pairings at Alex and Joel Robechon are far more expensive.
You can substitute a lobster as a main course to the $75 menu for $35 extra- not the same thing as the lobster salad appetizer- and since I%26#39;ve never ordered it I don%26#39;t know how they prepare it- but I am going to guess that it may not be a whole steamed or broiled lobster - maybe something smaller but fancier and with a sauce - more typical of French cuisine - which might not be what they are looking for at all. Personally, if i were going to try Picasso I would order something that would allow them to show off their elaborate cooking skills in true French style - not a lobster. But maybe not all folks feel that way. I would go elsewhere for a lobster.
I haven%26#39;t been there yet, but I agree with Lulu. I wouldn%26#39;t order a steak or a lobster there because you can get those things nicely done elsewhere. I%26#39;d order things there that you can%26#39;t get elsewhere, so I anticipate that I%26#39;ll order the degustation menu when I dine there in April.
Did MGMarch eat 4 meals at once?
If I can%26#39;t talk you into Nero%26#39;s at Caesar%26#39;s Palace, please consider Aquaknox at the Venetian - a great seafood spot where you can have a whole lobster grilled and served with herbed drawn butter for only $49- and you can also add in a lobster cocktail as an appetizer as well- I really think for seafood it%26#39;s a great spot- and very beautifully decorated, if that is important to you.
