I know this is probably a silly question but I am confused! We are meeting our daughter in LA on 13th June (we are coming from Uk, she is coming from Aus). We want to spend 4 days beforehand in Las Vegas. So - do I book a round trip to LA and then take an internal flight to LV? A single flight to LV, single internal flight to LA, and single flight back to UK from LA is hard to book, but most logical. Are single flights the same price as return or am I doing something wrong? Silly I know! Also been on all the sights I can think of and find American Airlines £490 return to LA comes up cheapest. Is this normally the case? Have I missed any great deals you clever lot out there?
How to book flights?
You would book a flight from the UK to LA, then LA to Las Vegas, then Las Vegas back to the UK. Or you can take the drive from LA to Las Vegas, if you prefer.
It will cost you more than a roundtrip from UK to LA, but it will be a lot easier.
How to book flights?
The best way to do this would be to fly into LV and then fly onto LA and then return from Los Angeles.I have done a few quick searches for you and US airways seems the best at around £488 but this will depend on your exact dates and times.I used Expedia and US airways.com.This is just what i found with the dates i used.

I hope this one works
Hi
i think £490 sounds quite good for June. I%26#39;m going to Vegas in July (plain round trip from London) and it%26#39;s costing me £500 and that%26#39;s with a change in Chicago.
As for the best way to book your trip, well, I%26#39;d say the best way to book it would be the cheapest way.
Expedia let you do a multiple destination trip so you can cost your trip in many combinations to try and get the best deal. Also try Dial-A-Flight, they%26#39;ve often had the best fares for me.
It could be that 2 separate returns are the cheapest option (ie. LON-LAX-LON and LAX-LAS-LAX)
Barbie
Just had a quick look on Expedia for you.
2 separate return flights
LON-LAX-LON = £480
LAX-LAS-LAX = £50
Total = £530
Multiple destination flight:
LON-LAS-LAX-LON = £613

Hi there. Was just trying to get onto that site mikeup directed me to and couldn%26#39;t! Then your message came in. Thank you for your help - I am pretty clueless at all this booking. Will try and work out your method and try that.
Hiya
Just go to www.expedia.co.uk and you can check prices from there.

As Barbie is saying
If you go to Expedia.co.uk and then click on Multiple destinations
put in all the flights you want and under the preferred airlines select US airlines,i only say US airlines because they were coming in cheaper than anybody else. You will then get your price.
Sorry about the link as it was only going to Expedia home page.
You will need a car in LA. So...if your daughter is not renting a car in LA, might as well rent a car in Vegas and drive from there to LA. Its a 4 hour drive, provided you won%26#39;t hit any traffic. Just get a rental where you can rent in Vegas and return it in LA. So, you can fly from UK to Vegas, and then drive from Vegas to LA.
In case you don%26#39;t like my suggestion, here are a couple of sites for airtickets, also a suggestion if you will fly from Vegas to LA, fly into Burbank rather then LAX, its a smaller airport with less lines.
