Can someone tell me if you only accumulate total rewards credits on gambling or do you also accumulate credits on purchases in the harrahs hotels such as shows or dinner?

the slot card only works in slots ect,but I understand there credit card earns points on all purchases

Its only for gambling. One of the benefits of the card are discounts in the Harrahs owned shops. Some of the outside merchants will offer a discount as well. You can earn rewards credits on purchases if you apply for the Total Rewards credit card.

I%26#39;m not sure about the hotel purchases. But you can earn money as well as a free stay with your points. Sometimes you earn food too.

Thanks all. Originally I was speaking of the total rewards players card however I investigated the credit card and signed up. Now should I sign all purchases back to the room and then settle with the credit card or pay with the credit card as I go?

What I always do is charge everything to my room. At the end of my stay I have them check with my TR players card. All comps you have gotten while playing can be used to take care of charges. Any left over you can then charge to your credit card. For example: Charges to you room total $345. Your comps equal $145. Have them use your comps to take care of $145 of the charges and the remaining $200 charged to your credit card.

If you have a Harrah%26#39;s credit card then you will receive points toward future comps on the $200 that you charged from your room.

But always first check with the points you have accumulated. Also a way to check for yourself is to insert your TR players card in any slot machine. The reader will first welcome you and give you your comp balance and tier score. The comp balance is different than your tier score. The tier score is what determines wether you are gold, platnum, diamond or seven stars. Hope this isn%26#39;t too confusing.

FYI..MGM/Mirage also has a credit card. You get double points for purchases at their properties. Total rewards does not do the double points at their properties for some reason. But MGM/Mirage also does their points on a per stay basis. So instead of crediting your players club account, you have to contact them and they will send you vouchers in $25 increments.

They sometimes will give out special promotions for booking hotels online. I booked a room at Harahs Kansas City online and got 500 bonus points.
