I%26#39;m looking to buy seats for Phantom. I%26#39;m thinking of getting two seats at the balcony level. I%26#39;m afraid I might be too high and too far to see all the action. Any imput? Thanks

if you haven%26#39;t found it already, use promotion code POTOC2. It takes $25 off each seat. I used it a couple weeks ago, we landed seats ~13 rows back on the aisle just to the side. Using that discount can basically move you up one section for the same budget.
If you use it online you can only get the 10 PM shows, but I called the box office and got it for a 7 show. Plus they can offer you different spots (ie, aisle) that the website isn%26#39;t smart enough to handle.

Well theatre seating is very much a personal preference.
However if you want my opinion, (I am sure others will disagree), don%26#39;t sit in the balcony.
We have seen dozens of Broadway plays, in New York, London, etc., and have over the years sat in almost every location in the theatre.
We will now only sit in the first five rows of the orchestra, and try for front row centre if it is available.
Live theatre is not like going to the ';movie';, being as close to the front is actually better.
You actually feel like you are part of the action, part of the story, you can see the expressions on the actors faces, and become so much more into the play. You do not get this feel farther back, and simple become a spectator.
To me this far outweighs the benefit of possibly seeing the whole set design, or having to turn around momentarily if something happens behind you.
We recently saw Phantom in London, and did sit front row centre, LOVED it, especially when the chandelier flew feet above our hears and landed on the stage right in front of us.
For me it%26#39;s a no brainer, forget the balcony and try and get as close to the front as you can.
Hope this helps, and remember it is only one opinion.
This is a good read if you%26#39;re interested in Phantom
