The pool at Southpoint, good for sunbathing and relaxation?

As the topic read, is the pool any good? Well I guess not up to Mandalaybay status but is it comparable to MGM Grand?

Very nice for fair skinned europeans to get a nice burn

Use SUNBLOC 30 + until u get a little color.

Dont spend more than 2 hours in the sun at one sitting.

The desert sun can be brutal..

It was nice enough, bigger than I expected actually. Not that busy, but it was the first week in March, so not the greatest pool weather yet. It鈥檚 right out the back doors of the hotel, close to the barber shop and the elevators up to the rooms.

As with everything else at SP, it is brand new, clean and nice.

Check the schedule there also. They sometimes have live bands at the pool later in the evening.

I especially enjoyed Southpoint pool because there was a covered, raised area (like a large gazebo) with chairs and ceiling fans there. I am extremely fair skinned, so this shaded area enabled me to spend the day by the pool without frying myself to a crisp.
