player cards
A Players Card monitors the amount you spend whilst gambling and may entitle you to receive offers and comps in the future dependent on your level of play.
PCs are free. Each casino has a desk where you can sign up and the card can be used at any hotel under that ownership. If you%26#39;re a big gambler it%26#39;s worth playing at one casino or just at casinos of that group to maximise possible comps. When you play slots or VP insert the card into the machine you%26#39;re playing. With table games hand it to the pit boss.
You have to gamble a lot more at top end places to get anything back. A few hours of $25 per hand blackjack won%26#39;t get you much at Wynn but it probably will Downtown.
It%26#39;s worth signing up even if you don%26#39;t gamble a great deal as there may be introductory offers or future deals available. Remember never play with comps in mind, just gamble what you can afford and look at comps (if any) as a bonus.
player cards
thanks blagger, very usefull
well, i´ll be in las vegas this summer, coming from spain, so i don%26#39;t think i come back again
i will spend 4 nights. do you think i could get any advantage if getting a player card? I mean if i could get any discount or benefit in those days, not having to wait till next trip to las vegas.
if so, how much do you estimate i should gamble for it?
If you gamble in one place-especially the hotel where you are staying- you can check at the players desk before you check out. If you have charged dinners, etc. to your room they may take some money off your bill. How much you need to gamble depends on what hotel you are staying at- Wynn or Imperial Palace have different minimum amounts, for sure.
Some player%26#39;s clubs will give you free t-shirts, etc. just for joining so you have nothing to lose by joining at each casino where you gamble.
nice :)
But don%26#39;t fall into the worst trap in Veags.....playing more than you planned just to get something ';free'; or more points on a card.
Also remember as someone said, to charge things to your room, i.e. your dinner bill etc. (if you eat at the property). If you%26#39;re a gambler, they will check your card activity at the end of your stay. If you book your hotel through a third party or package, you will not be able to get any hotel room charges taken care of. Not room charges, but the room itself I should say.
You should get a card even if you don%26#39;t gamble a lot. As long as you have some ';play';, you should still get offers for future trips, etc. It takes a few minutes to get a card (sometimes you get free match play, etc. when you sign up - check online for promotions before you go) and just hand the card to the dealer when you sit down or stick it in the machine.
