How can you figure out this whole slot pay out thing

I keep reading here that some machines pay out better then others, people list numbers like 9/6 and such. Being that I only play slots when in vegas, how can I figure all this slot talk out and now which ones to play?

You are confusing slots and video poker. Check out the wizard of odds website to get things straight.

9/6 refers to Video Poker. If you play just truly slots, then it doesn%26#39;t apply. IF you play VP - they pay tables are right on the screen.

If you look at a full house - in the first column it will say 9, 8 or 7,

9 being the best. (I won%26#39;t play under an 8) If you look at a flush it will say 6 or 5. I guess it could say lower but have never seen that.

You want to play a machine that has the two of those highest numbers. That is a very rudementary way of explaining...

indy, it sounds like you%26#39;re referring to Video Poker. Each game has a different payout based on a Full House (I think?).

I%26#39;m sure the VP players will answer this for you.

There aren%26#39;t any payout odds like this with other slots that I%26#39;ve ever seen.

the 9/6 is refering to video poker pay tables change from machine to machine.sorry i dont play vp so im not very informative. but on slots each machine will show you what payback you recieve based on coins in, most often you want to play max coin, especially the machines offering bonuses.

the bonus slots usually have small payouts on wins when its not in the bonus. hard for me to explain, take a moment at your slots and look at what it pays out and if you find your getting small amounts try another machine and see what its paylines show for similar hits
