I%26#39;ve read through a few thread around food, but none seem to answer my exact question!
Recommendations please, for eateries on or near the Strip offering good quality/fresh/healthyish food at reasonably budget prices? Not looking for huge volume of food, just that what you get for the money is good!
By budget, i mean max $20 per person lunch and $30 per person dinner (including tip and a soft drink or beer).
Don%26#39;t want to eat fast food or buffets all the time, but a lot of the restaurants i%26#39;ve seen reviewed seem to stray into the $35+ per entree zone, which for me is a ';special'; night out price - and as the whole trip will be pretty much experience of a lifetime, i%26#39;m happy to eat just good rather than mind blowing!!
any tips very much appreciated.

i love the buffets, so i can%26#39;t help you with specific experience.
www.cheapovegas.com/vegas_food_chart.php鈥?/a> has a great search feature and i usually agree with their descriptions of places.

Healthy food and Vegas are uneasy bedfellows! One place that you might want to try for lunch is the Canyon Ranch Cafe attached to the spa at the Venetian. It%26#39;s probably a tiny bit overpriced for what you get but it%26#39;s good, fresh and tasty food that%26#39;s certainly healthy.
Firefly - www.fireflylv.com VERY cheap and good with a trendy atmosphere, especially later in the evening.
Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba - www.cafebabareeba.com, Also Spanish food, a little more expensive than Firefly but also better and more authentic.
Pasta Shop - www.pastashop.com, the Web site is worthless and completely inaccurate as far as prices. If you just order an entree with no appetizers you should fit within your price range.
Sicilian Caffe - www.siciliancaffe.com, this is a little farther off-strip but so far the only thing in town that comes close to anything I actually ate in Italy. Prices are similar to Pasta Shop.
Cathay House - www.cathayhouse.com, Dim sum is extremely cheap and very good here. I never spend more than $10 total for lunch, and I never leave hungry.
Lotus of Siam - www.saipinchutima.com, You could probably cover entrees, appetizers and drinks here and stay within budget. Supposedly the best Thai restaurant in town, but I am always adventurous when I go so can%26#39;t compare their dishes to the same dishes at other restaurants.
Any of the cafes/coffee shops on the strip can fit within your price range if you aren%26#39;t a huge eater. I normally just order an entree or an appetizer as an entree, so I don%26#39;t run into the extravagant bills some people do with their salad, appetizer, entree, wine, dessert, etc.
And just about all restaurants offer some healthy menu, but 100% healthy restaurants are few and far between.
check out this web-site for ideas. Has prices and diner-ratings.

Being a Parrothead from way back, I%26#39;ve got to recommend Margaritaville. Good food, fun surroundings, great margaritas.... And it would be less than your maximum price.
(Hint: If they are busy, try the upstairs bar. First come, first seated. You get a nice view of the action on the strip.)
This will be the best tip you get on the subject... I just got back and ate here twice.
Ellis Island casino and brewery near the strip just off Flimingo.
$4.95 gets you a salad, bread, then steak, patato and veg. Foor is fantastic and service was great!1 If you miss it then you missed something good!
This isn%26#39;t the most exciting option, but there is a food court type place at Caesar%26#39;s that has a place that will make salads to your specifications:

Obviously it%26#39;s nothing fancy, but was a nice place to stop for lunch and the prices were good.
wow, thanks everyone! this board%26#39;s sure lively today!!
Try Max%26#39;s in the Desert Passage (Aladdin). Good food and cheap.
