Eating at Ellis Island, Westin Worth a Stop?

We%26#39;re planning an evening meal at Ellis Island, thinking around 5, if you all think that is early enough to beat the lines?

We have read some about the Westin here and wonder if the gambling there is worth a stop?

The Westin%26#39;s casino is (my opinion) the most soulless in Vegas. The only real reason to go is if smoke really bothers you as no smoking is the policy there.

Ellis Island is not worth the stop unless you like eating fat and grizzle. I can%26#39;t comment on the Westin, since I never stopped on.

They are supposed to have good VP paytables but personally, I have never stopped. To beat the lines at EI, I would actually head in a little earlier, maybe 4 or 4:30. It IS worth it!

There are few times to beat the crowd at Ellis Island. You%26#39;d think 5 would be early, but they get a big ';early bird special'; retiree crowd.

I%26#39;ve found the Westin casino to be boring. Boring is a word that should never be associated with a casino.

If you want to gamble a little, just head to EI, put your name on the list and gambler there. It%26#39;s a bit smoky and worn, but a fun crowd and decent dealers.

I like stopping at the Westin on the way back from EI. I believe they have $1 tables in the afternoon weekdays. Not much slot selection, but in the summer when it%26#39;s really hot, it makes a nice break in the walk.

If you need a break from your walk, you could stop in but you won%26#39;t be missing much of you don%26#39;t bother. It%26#39;s a tiny casino which is not smoke free. Only the hotel is no-smoking.

DONT visit either place.
