Any comments on a 6 pm reservation at Mon Ami Gabi? Have read so many good reports here and will be staying at Paris, so just have to eat there!
Would it be better to have lunch and ask for a table on the patio (we will be there April 4- 9) since it might be warmer? Want to enjoy the patio, the people-watching and the fountains at Bellagio, as well as some good food!
Thanks for the suggestions.

We enjoy sitting outside for lunch at Mon Ami Gabi and enjoying the people watching and sunshine. The temperature should be very nice during the day. That is the perfect way to spend an early afternoon. We went on a weekend last time and had to wait for about an hour for patio seating at lunch. You can play the slot machines next to the restaurant while waiting or have a drink at the bar.

We usually go for a patio table at 5pm when they reopen it for dinner. That way the Bellagio fountaions across the street are on, and it is very enjoyable.
Also had dinner here last Nov, had reservations for 7PM but arrived early (5-5:30PM), we were seated immediately on the patio, had a great view of the fountains. It was cool out but their portable heaters kept us warm. Can%26#39;t wait to go back!
Here is something to keep in mind: the fountain%26#39;s schedule (from the Bellagio website.)

**Shows are subject to cancellation due to high winds
katylou2......I just HAVE to reply to your post about the ';high winds';......my husband and I just got back from Vegas on March 1. Our first two nights were in a Go Luxury room at the Flamingo. We were so excited to be able to watch the ';water show'; from our room.....well......we waited and waited.......nothing. nada. zilch. We couldn%26#39;t figure it out. Come to find out it was ';cancelled'; due to winds.
After inquiring about the ';wind'; situation, we were told by one of the security guys that someone had actually SUED the Bellagio because they GOT WET while watching the water show. GO FIGURE! THEY GOT WET STANDING BY WATER! What a concept! The pitiful thing is, they won the suit. So.....if there%26#39;s ANY wind, Bellagio shuts it down. Man. Isn%26#39;t that crazy? Fortunately the next day the winds were in favorable condition, so the water show(s) went on without a hitch.
I thought the suit about someone getting burned by McDonald%26#39;s hot coffee was crazy........now I%26#39;ve heard it all!
Just wanted to add that you shouldn%26#39;t have to worry about it being too cold out on the patio. We visited in January and they had those gas heaters outside. Lots of people were enjoying the patio, even though the evening temps at that time were probably about 65掳.
TexasTeejay, we were there the last few days in February and were so disappointed that the fountains didn%26#39;t run once our whole trip. They are one of my favorite attractions and I was so disappointed to miss them this trip. Guess that means I have to make it back before November ;)
We were in vegas this week and ate at MonAmiGabi - very good, we were able to get patio seating, but they told us they do not take reservations for the patio - it%26#39;s first come first served. It was very warm so you shouldn%26#39;t worry about the weather in April for outdoor dining. We only saw one fountain show as they closed it down due to high winds. So, if you go at 6 pm, you may have to wait for a patio seat.
